When a customer opts for this level of service, HRB Payroll acts as a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) and assumes full responsibility for your company's HR service. We become a co-employer by taking full legal responsibility of your employees, including the final say in hiring, firing, and employee salaries.

The PEO, HRB Payroll, and the client’s company maintain a co-employment relationship, which permits the client’s company and its representatives to reap numerous benefits, such as HRB Payroll's tax ID, liberating the client’s company from the risks and responsibilities identified with their employees.
